Body Image Fitness is a personal functional strength and fitness program for all ages, specializing in senior fitness. It is run by Lori Vance and located in Northeast Portland at 5046 NE Fremont Street.
Their mission goes beyond workouts—they foster a supportive community where fitness is about confidence, resilience, and transformation.
During our meeting with Lori, she wanted a professional video that would:

At Wafula-Card Productions, we began with conversations to understand Body Image Fitness’ story, values, and goals. We identified three storytelling pillars:

We developed a documentary-style video concept that blended dynamic workout visuals with personal interviews, creating an emotional connection while still showing the energy of the studio.
Production

Pre-production: Shot list, and location planning inside the studio.

Filming: Conducted interviews with Lori and one of their clients, intercut with candid footage of classes, workouts, and community interactions.

Post-production: Edited with cinematic pacing, warm tones, and motivational background music to evoke strength and belonging.
The finished video became a cornerstone of Body Image Fitness’ marketing strategy. It was featured on their website and their Instagram platform(https://www.instagram.com/bodyimagefitness2020/).
